Up and Down Card the River
An exciting game for children to play.
The Up and Down the River Card Game can be played with 3 to 4 players
using a standard deck of cards.
The Goal
Get the most points.The Deal
Decide on a dealer at random. The cards are mixed and the dealer gives:
– in first round - 1 card,
- in second round - 2 cards,
- in third round – 3,
and so on. The trump is defined by the next card from the deck.The last round players (if there are 3 players) are given 17 cards. The last round is played without a trump. The Play
The player who sits on the left hand to the dealer starts the game. Every round consists of 2 parts – order and play. In order part players declare the number of tricks they are going to take. It is possible to declare 0 tricks. In first round players can declare 1 or zero tricks.
In second round players are given 2 cards.
in third round – 3, and so on. According to this players can declare certain amount of trick they are going to take. During the play players should throw card of the same suit that the leading card is. It is not necessary to beat the card with the trump. The scoring
After every round players record 1 point for the trick taken. The player who took the number of tricks he or she ordered gets 10 bonus points. Player who failed to take the the number of tricks he or she ordered, gets zero points. The player who got the most points wins.
