The Tableau 10 stacks of 5 cards are dealt in rows. The first 4 cards of the stack are put face down, the fifth card of each stack is put face up. All plays are made to the tableau.
Building The first card of a stack can be moved simultaneously with all cards that are face up below it that follow in ascending suit and series. A series of accessible cards can be broken down at any time by not moving all of the series. For instance: If a stack from the top down shows 7 of clubs, 8 of clubs, 9 of clubs, 10 of spades, some of the first three cards can be relocated as one, but the 10 of spades cannot be relocated pending the covering 3 cards are moved.
Once all face-up cards on a stack are moved, the card after it is flipped over and is now free to play. A series of cards that can be moved can fill any empty space or can be placed on a card that is the next higher rank to the bottom card of the series, despite the color or suit of the card. For instance: If the bottom card of the series is the 10 of hearts, it can be relocated onto any of the 4 jacks.
A king can only move into an empty space. On the other hand, an empty space can be filled with any series of cards.
The Goal of Spiderette To collect thirteen cards of a series, in ascending series from the A through to the K, on top of the pile. Each time a full suit of thirteen cards is put together; it is removed from the game. To win the game, all 8 suits are collected in series.
Stock Once all achievable or preferred moves from the tableau become idle, the person deals an additional row of 10 cards face up on the tableau stock. But before this can happen, all empty spaces on the tableau have to be filled. The last deal only has 4 cards, which are put on the first 4 tableau stacks.
