using a standard deck of cards
Dealing in Speed Card Game
Every person is dealt 5 cards for their hand, and every person is dealt fifteen cards face down to shape the draw pile. If you are using jokers, you consider them wild cards and give everyone sixteen cards. A pile of 5 cards, put face down on each side between everyone, serves as a substitute pile. Lastly, 2 cards are put face down in the middle between the substitute piles. To play Speed Card Game
Everyone flips the 2 middle cards and continue to lay down cards (everyone gets the pile of cards to their left). Once a card has played, a new card is drawn from the draw pile to keep the same amount of cards in their hand. But, if you are playing with Doubles rules, everyone can put down cards of the equal number amount on top of each other. For instance, if there is a three in the center pile, all threes in your hand can be put down. For aces, the 2 customary game options would be to play a king and a 2, but with the Doubles rule you can play an ace also. The Goal of Speed Card Game
The Goal is to be first to play all your cards. Everyone does not take turns but may play as all the cards possible in a row. Even though it is seems wrong to play 2 or more cards, a person can put them down directly after each other. For instance, you cannot place 5, 6, and 7 in a stack and lay them down, but you can put them down one after another. If no one can play any cards, everyone must turn over a card from their substitute pile at the same time and the game continues. If all of the cards are exhausted, the 2 middle piles are shuffled and then used as the substitute pile. A card is drawn from the top of the decks and you continue to play. Since Speed is typically taught from friends who have taught other friends, the rules will differ for each family or collection of friends. Nevertheless, these alternatives are more familiar and generally known. To Play with only 4 cards
Everyone gets 4 cards in their hand. Having one less card makes it simple for everyone to hold in their hand, although it does make the game a little more tricky because the person has lesser of a selection to play with. In Double Speed
Besides ascending or descending order, everyone can play a card matching the one on top of the pile. For instance, if the top card is a 6, you may play a 5, 6, or 7. In Joker Speed
The jokers act as wild cards. For instance, if a 3 is in the middle, a joker can be played as a 4, a 2, or, as in Doubles rules, a 3. If a joker is put down, then any card can be put on the joker. Some people propose laying cards on your challenger's side as an alternative of your own so that they have to pick up the cards. An ordinary strategy is to remember the cards as they are played so that when you play the cards you already know what they are. Speed Card Game with More Than 2 People
Lately, eager people have customized the game to consist of more people. The cards are dealt in a different way, with a huge number of options occurring. People are frequently limited to 4 cards in a hand. 3 Person Speed
As Speed is played with 3 people, the cards are dealt so that everyone receives sixteen cards. 2 piles remain in the center, leaving 1 card on each of their sides for when they run out of options. 4 Person Speed
If Speed is played with 4 people, two key alternatives happen. 1. One Deck alternative
If Speed is played with 1 deck, each person receives twelve cards. There are two piles and two backup cards. People can also choose to play with no backup cards and the same amount of cards dealt to each person, creating four piles. 2. Two Deck alternative
People may choose to play with two decks, using two different standard two person setups at once. Each person gets twenty cards.
