A fun game for children ages 5-12. Slapjack can be played with 2-8 players using a standard deck of cards
The Deal Determine a dealer and have them shuffle the cards and deal them out to each person, face down, until every card has been dealt out. Without peeking at any cards, everyone stacks their cards into a pile before them. The Goal of Slapjack By being the first person to slap the jacks as they are played on the table, you win. Playing Starting to the left of the dealer, everyone flips over 1 card from their pile and puts it face up on the table. By doing this, the person has to turn over the card away from them self so that they do not view it before anyone else. On the other hand, the person should turn over their cards quick enough so that the other players don’t see the card before they do. At what time the card placed on the table is a jack, the excitement starts. The first person to slap their hand on the jack wins the jack and all the cards under it. The person who won these cards shuffles them along with the cards they had to form a larger pile of cards and them sets them in front of them like before. When 2 or more people slap the jack; the person whose hand is on the jack wins the cards. If a person slaps the table when a jack is not played, they have to give 1 of their cards, to the person that laid that card. When someone runs out of cards, they keep playing until a jack is turned over. They can then slap the jack and try to get a more cards. If they fail to win more cards, they are out of the game. Play carries on until someone has won all the cards and declared the winner. Abnormality If a card is viewed while dealing, that person’s cards has to be shuffled before they put them face down in a stack to play.
