Rolling Stone Game Rules

A fun game for children and adults to play.

Rolling Stone Game can be played with 4-6 players
using a standard deck of cards

The Pack
A standard deck of cards is used as follows: if there are 4 people playing, the 6’s down to the 2’s are removed from the deck, leaving only 32 cards. For 5 people, the 4s, 3s, and 2s are removed, leaving 40 cards. For 6 people, only the 2s are removed.

Ranking of Cards
A is the highest and then K, and so on. Determining the dealer
Everyone draws a card from the deck and lowest card is the dealer.

Dealing
Moving clockwise, the dealer gives 8 cards to everyone, dealing one card at a time, beginning with the person to their left. Therefore, regardless of the number of players, all the cards are dealt out.

The Goal
To be first to discard all your cards.

The Play
The person on the dealer's left goes first and can play whichever card they would like. The person to go next has to follow suit if they can. A person who can’t follow suit has to pick up every card played thus far and add them to their hand. That person can lead any card they want to start another round.

If all players follows suit, the person who laid the highest ranked card gathers the trick, except they place them in a waste pile. These cards don’t count for the cards in their hand; as a result, the only benefit in winning the trick is so that person can lead the suit of their choice. The person who discards all their cards first, wins the game.
