King Card Game

A great trick taking game for adults.

King card game can be played with 4 players
using a single deck of 32 cards (starting with 7s).

The goal of the King Card Game
The goal of the game is to gain the biggest amount of points.

The Deal
Decide on a dealer at random. All the cards are given equally by two cards so each player has 8 cards.

The Play
The person to the dealers left starts the game and play moves clockwise. On each turn, players throw any card and others must throw card of the same suit. If there are not cards of the same suit the player can throw any. The player who has thrown the highest card takes a trick.

The game consists of 12 deals, but each deal has its peculiarities.

1. In first deal you should not take tricks. Each trick gives the player 2 points minus.

2. In second deal you should not take Hearts in your tricks. Each Heart in tricks gives the player 2 points minus. It is not allowed to start with Hearts if there are still other suits in hands.

3. In third deal you should not take 'Boys' in your tricks. Jack gives 4 points minus.

4. In fourth deal you should not take 'Girls' in your tricks. Queen gives 4 points minus.

5. In fifth deal you should not take two last tricks. Each trick gives 8 points minus.

6. In sixth deal you should not take King of Hearts in your tricks. If you have King of Heart you should throw it at the first case, when you do not have the suit. King of Hearts gives 16 points minus.

7. Seventh deal is called “Negative Yeralash” (Mess, Muddle). All peculiarities of the previous deals are combined here. You will get points for tricks (2), Hearts (2), Jacks (4), Queens (4), King of Hearts (16) and 2 last tricks (8).

Here comes the second part of the King card game, where players can improve their points.

8. Eighth to Eleventh deals are called “Khvalenki” (Praises).

The dealer distributes 3 cards to each player and stops. The next player makes a trump. If the player cannot decide on the trump according to these three cards, the trump is defined by the last card given to this player. If the player sees that his or her cards are of small rank they can play “miser”, with the converted card rank (Ace is the smallest and 7 is the biggest card). The goal of these 3 deals is to take the largest amount of the tricks. Each trick gives you 3 points.

9. Ninth deal is the same as eighth.

10. Tenth deal is the same as eighth.

11. Eleventh deal is the same as eighth.

12. Twelfth deal is called “Positive Yeralash” and is played as the negative one, but now the players should take as more points as they can.

The scores
The scores are recorded in special table.

Each deal is recorded separately.
Each deal from 1st to 6th has 16 negative points (16*6=96 points in total), both “Yeralashes” - 96 points.
Each deal from 8th to 11th - 24 points (24*4=96 in total).

So in first part the maximum sum of the points is 96 (16 points in 6 deals) +96(Yeralash) =192.

In second part the maximum sum of the points is 96 (24 points in 4 deals) +96(Yeralash) =192.
