Authors Card Game Rules
A great game for children to play. Authors card game can be played with 2 to 5 players using a standard deck of cards
If you have 4 or 5 people. The entire deck is dealt, as equal as possible. Every person asks for a special card that they want, by rank and suit. For example: he asks an opponent "May I please have the king of spades." If your opponent has that card, he has to hand it to you. That player continues as long as he receives the card he asks for. If not, the person to the left goes next.
Once a person collects 4 cards of the same value for example; four 2s or four kings, he or she lays them face down. The game carries on until all of the cards have been laid down in groups.
If there is a Misdeal The dealer has to deal over if he shows a card while dealing, or if any person does not get enough cards and points this mistake out before looking at his or her hand.
Exposed card. If a person drops or shows a card, no penalty is given. They can just restore the card to their hand.
Playing out of turn. If a person request a card while it’s not his or her turn, he or she cannot score a group in that category for the remainder of the game.
If you don’t show a group. If a person does not show a group he has created previously to the end of his or her turn, they is not allowed to count that group in their score.
Dishonest call. If a person requests a rank that he doesn’t have he or she misses their next turn.
If you don’t give up a card. If a person has a card in their hand that he or she does not hand over when asked, that person cannot score a group in that rank and misses his next turn
