Accordion Solitaire Rules

A great solitaire game to play.

Accordion Solitaire can be played using a standard deck of cards

Tableau
You deal out the cards from left to right, one card at a time, so that they are face up and in columns, as many at a time as space allows. (Dealing out the cards can be disrupted any time if you wish to play a card. After playing a card, the deal then continues).

The Goal
To get all the cards in 1 stack, by building.

Building
Any card can be put on top of the next card or the third card to its left, if they are the identical suit or rank. For instance: 4 cards, from left to right, are: 7of diamonds, 3 of diamonds, 8 of clubs, and 8 of diamonds. The 8 of diamonds can be put on either the 8 of clubs or the 7 of diamonds. It cannot be played on the 3 of the same suit because the 3 is not to the immediate left, or third from the left.

Once the movement of one or more cards has formed a stack, the entire stack is moved with the top card. When the 8 of diamonds is put on the 8 of clubs, the two can be put on the 3 of diamonds and then all of these cards on the 7 of diamonds. However, it is not mandatory to make a specific move if the player does not want to.
